Sebastian Fernandez is the first winner of the 2017 Season

Sebastian Fernandez (Bhaitech) continued his great form shown in qualifying taking an untroubled win in Race 1 of the Italian Formula 4 Championship at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.  Getting away well from pole position, the Venezuelan not only put a comfortable margin between himself and his pursuers, but he also did not waiver in the slightest when the Safety Car entered the circuit two laps from the race end erasing his advantage. Fernandez can also take the satisfaction of recording the fastest lap of the race. Second was the Russian Artem Petrov (DR Formula), who drove superbly to recover from 8th on the grid. Third was the Estonian Juri Vips (Prema Power Team) who got the better of a race long duel with Lorenzo Colombo (Bhaitech) who finished 4th.

In fifth place was the New Zealand driver Marcus Armstrong (Prema PowerTeam). Ahead of the first Rookie; the Italian Leonardo Lorandi (Bhaitech).

Seventh place for the Dutch driver Job Van Uitert (Jenzer Motorsport), ahead of the Guatemalan Ian Rodriguez (DRZ Benelli), another Dutch driver in Leonard Hoogenboom (Cram Motorsport) and the Canadian Kami M.Laliberte (Van Amersfort Racing) who was tenth.

Tomorrow, Sunday April 2, at 10:10 and 17:10 will be races 2 and 3, both over a distance of 28 minutes + 1 lap.
