Ready to go in Spain: Paddon Update!

Photo: Hayden Paddon

Hayden Paddon writes.....

Hi,

Our preparation is going well for this weekends Spain rally. The week started with the official test where we had the chance to further fine tune our tarmac set-up following our initial test in Belgium a week earlier. We tried a few new things and we found a really good setup which felt very comfortable. The team have done a great job preparing the car and we are all ready for the rally ahead. You can see the following video link for footage from our Monday test:

The last couple of days have included recce and our first taste of the Spanish roads that we will encounter this weekend. It is very much an event of two rallys, with Friday including some rough, fast and technical gravel stages  including a night stage, then the following two days on tarmac almost resemble a smooth, flowing race circuit. They are magic roads and remind me of some tight gorge/pass roads at home where it is corner after corner that snake their way up and over hills.

Tomorrow we have shakedown which will give us a chance to further fine tune our gravel set-up after our Symtech car was last used at Rally Finland. Then in the afternoon we have several media and PR activities before the ceremonial start here in the centre of Salou tomorrow evening.

We will keep you posted during the rally.

Thanks

Hayden
