Paddon Update: New Skoda S2000 tested successfully

Photo: Hayden Paddon

Hayden Paddon writes....

Hi,

We have completed our first test of our new Skoda S2000 car and I am buzzing after a successful day. The car was amazing to drive and unlike any other car that I have driven in the past.

The test was on a short piece of gravel road near Barcelona, Spain and the sole target of the test was for me to learn the brand new car and the systems before heading to Sweden. It didn't take long until I was comfortable in the car and we were able to try several changes to see how each change affected the car.

Not only is the car very responsive, agile, light and fast, it also responses to set-up changes very well which will mean finding the 'sweet spot' with the set-up will be crucial as we gain more experience with the car. Our team, ASM Motorsport have been doing a great job with the car and we are all really looking forward to Rally Sweden in less than 2 weeks.

Check our facebook page for further videos in the coming days.

The car now gets it livery applied over the next couple of days before the car and transporter leave for the long drive to Norway for our snow test next weekend.

Already I cannot wait to get back in the car but there is plenty of homework to do in the meantime from both the test data but also preparing for Rally Sweden, an event that we have not done before.

Don't forget that this week we released our details for our NZWRT rally tours at both Rally New Zealand and Rally Spain. It would be great if you could join our team for the rally and we welcome any questions. More information or contact details can be found on the rally tours page on www.haydenpaddon.com.

Will keep you posted over the next couple of weeks.

Many Thanks,

Hayden
