Mitsubishi appoints new Ralliart franchise holder for NZ

Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Limited have appointed Stealth Racing Limited as the Ralliart franchise holder for New Zealand responsible for the preparation of Mitsubishi rally and circuit race cars, and for the supply of Mitsubishi Ralliart competition parts for New Zealand. Stealth Racing Limited will trade as Team Ralliart New Zealand from an impressive new car preparation and parts facility at Pukekohe, and will also establish a shop front at New Zealand’s largest Mitsubishi Motors dealer, Andrew Simms Mitsubishi in Newmarket, Auckland.

Managing Director of Team Ralliart New Zealand, businessman Shannon Chambers described the acquisition as an exciting development for Mitsubishi and for the Ralliart brand in New Zealand. “We were thrilled to be approached by Mitsubishi and given this opportunity, and we certainly intend to take Ralliart much further than ever before in New Zealand”. Team Ralliart New Zealand have been able to secure the services of internationally renowned Ralliart technician Chris ‘Choice’ Little and highly experienced Ralliart parts specialist Bill Morton in a business that also includes New Zealand’s largest Mitsubishi retailer, Andrew Simms.

A Mitsubishi competitor in both rally and circuit racing himself, Mr Chambers promised that Team Ralliart New Zealand would offer unprecedented support for Mitsubishi teams and competitors in all forms of Motorsport throughout New Zealand. “If you go to any rally event in New Zealand the field is dominated by Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions and this car remains the firm favourite for many club, national championship and international competitors. We will support these competitors whether they are driving the latest Evo 10 or still wanting the best from their older Evo”, said Mr Chambers.

“Choice and Bill will be at all significant club and championship events to assist Mitsubishi teams with technical and parts support which will be immediately at hand”.

By registering with Team Ralliart New Zealand, Mitsubishi drivers and teams in all forms of motorsport will have access to specialist technical support, parts discounts and specials, as well as being able to win prizes and parts credits if they make it onto the podium at selected sanctioned events. “Everyone recognises that Mitsubishi has competed at the upper levels in the New Zealand Rally Championships for over a decade, but we are also seeing more and more Evos being successfully campaigned in endurance racing, Targa events and hill climbs throughout New Zealand”, said Mr Chambers. “Whether it is Rally New Zealand or the Gore Hill climb all Mitsubishi competitors can register with Team Ralliart and receive our support”.
