Marr set for top ten finish in Australia

Young Wanganui karter Aaron Marr looks set to cement a series placing in the top ten in the Pro Junior/KF3 class at the final round of Australia's CIK Stars of Karting Series presented by Castrol Edge in Newcastle this weekend.

Marr, 15, the reigning CIK Trophy of New Zealand - presented by Paymark KF3 title-holder has had an impressive debut CIK Stars of Karting Series season across the Tasman, finishing sixth in class at the first round and eighth and ninth respectively at the third and fourth.

Despite a dnf at the second round (when his kart's chain de-railed in the Final), the young Kiwi currently lies sixth in the series points standings in his class.

This year's CIK Stars of Karting series presented by Castrol Edge has been the strongest held in Australia in a number of years with over 80 competitors contesting the three core CIK classes (Prolight/KF1, Pro Gearbox/KZ2 and Pro Junior/KF3) and another 50 competing in the two support classes, Clubman and Junior National.
