Two wins and a second for Grant Liston at the latest round of the NZ Production Racing Series saw his championship lead extended at Powerbuilt Raceway, Christchurch, over the weekend.  Racing in the 4wd Class D (4wd forced induction) Liston (434 points) dominated the second weekend of the series ahead of Logan Childs (209 points) and John Rongen (329).

The impressive Ford Focus RS of Grant Aitken (class C) dominated the 2wd category which is made up of two classes (Class B - 2 & 4wd >1801cc and naturally aspirated;  Class C - 2wd forced induction).  Two race wins and a third podium meant that his championship (333 points) lead has extended to 106 points over Michael Modgill (227 points).

Steve Taylor continues to lead Class B.

Ben Dallas continued his Pukekohe form with a clean sweep of Class A (MINI – 2wd 0-1800 naturally aspirated).  He was hard pressed by season campaigner Craig Innes who took three second places and now moves into second in the Class A championship.

Dallas has now won six out of six races this season in his class.

Points for each race are determined on the finishing order of each car irrespective of class with Motorsport NZ titles awarded to the winner of each class at the end of the season.

The series now takes a Christmas break and resumes at Teretonga Park, Invercargill the weekend of January 14th-16th.
