Dallas consolidates title lead

Photo: Ben Dallas

TKR Driver Ben Dallas has today consolidated his position in this years run to the Championship Title as fellow TKR team mate Craig Innes who won the first two races for the weekend had a DOFF in the third and final race for the weekend.

"The TKR car was great this weekend but the ABS breaking did not work as I was right behind Ben and I speared into the back of his car damaging the front of my car and as a result I had a DNF"

"Thankfully I did not take Ben out with me but without the ABS I could not slow the car down with out making contact with him". said Innes

Dallas who was second to Innes in both race one and two won the weekend with his first place finish and Innes' DNF in race three.

Matt Gibson in the third TKR cars struggled with speed all weekend and just as Dallas car was doing in the South Island has started to overheat at the end of race three.

Gibson however finished all three races to gather valuable championship points that see him only 3 points behind third position keeping a TKR one, two, three a real possibility.

The goal now is to fix the TKR cars between now and the final round of the Championship so TKR make sure they give themselves and their drivers every opportunity to finish the season in first, second and third positions along with securing back to back championship titles.

The final round of the Championship will be held at Taupe Raceway on the 11th to 13th March.
