Australian Rotax Light National Champion David Sera has announced that he will compete at the Thirsty Whale Kartsport NZ North Island Sprint Championships which are held at Kartsport Hawkes Bay 21-23 October.

David is the current Australian Rotax Light Champion, a title he has won six times. David is looking forward to his first visit to New Zealand soil and quoted “it will be a lot of fun to compete against some of New Zealand’s top competitors, and I couldn’t ask for a better mechanic to assist me in Tony Chambers from Right Karts, himself a multiple NZ Champion!”

Chambers who is part of the Right Karts group says David will be running an Arrow Chassis and Bullseye Rotax engine from their renowned kart shop in Penrose, Auckland.

Along with David there will be many New Zealand karting superstars contending for the North Island titles such as Kane Taylor who will represent NZ at the worlds in November and reining champions Daniel Kinsman, Zach Zaloum, Paul Blomqvist and Maddison Wise to name a few. With David in the mix it will certainly make for an action packed racing in Hawke’s Bay.
