Aitken wins NZ Production class.

The NZNEW Focus RS has finished its debut season winning the class C category comfortably, and finishing 3rd overall in the 2010/11 NZ Production Racing series.

“The fantastic NZNEW FOCUS RS finished every race, and performed way above its weight” Grant Aitken said. “On many occasions the RS defeated the four wheel drive cars, and it was especially rewarding to have achieved our first pole position at Manfield”.

The Focus performed so well, that it had already won its class after only five rounds of the six round series, dominating the rest of the category.

"The effort put in by my crew over the series was outstanding, and I would like to especially thank Nathan Graham for his efforts in preparing the car," Grant said.

Attention already moves towards the next season, with the welcome announcement received from Motorsport NZ that the 2011-12 series is already confirmed.

“I am already looking forward to next season, and with the single-minded goal to win the series outright, we have plenty of work to do over the winter”.

“Bring it on!” said Grant.
