The old adage may be true this coming season for the NZ Production Racing Series
(PRS).  With TV3 televising live the summer racing series it has the potential to add spice to the already successful series.

With the race season not much more than three months away, the PRS is anxiously awaiting the ratification of the amended class structure, and the Motorsport New Zealand executive is expected to complete this next week.

While nothing is being given away by the series organisers it is expected that a new array of cars will become eligible whilst at the same time allowing all existing cars to remain competitive.

The live coverage has spurred more than one new manufacturer to approach PRS officials to learn more about the possibility of racing their cars in our summer series.  A former racer is highly likely to be seen in PRS this year racing a potent Hyundai, while Peter Hills will also return to the series having leased Wally Richards’ Honda Integra for the season

Motorsport New Zealand is known to be talking with their Aussie counterparts  the Tasman closer together. It would certainly make events like the Bathurst 12 Hour more appealing to PRS members.

More information on the series is expected to be released over the next few weeks
