What's On Karcher Pitlane this week?

Answer? – Bill Ward, the record chaser, the musician, as well as the normal panel again, and as usual some other great guests.

EP 32- Sky Sport 3 Tuesday – 7 pm.
Sky Sport 1 Wednesday 10 - 30 pm
 (Plus other screenings)

Greetings Folks and welcome to another episode of Karcher Pitlane. Well it was another big win for Scott Dixon this week and some great performances from the Kiwis in the Rally of Whangarei.

With Scotts win in Texas, the Indycar Series is the opening piece in ‘The Week That Was’, followed by our first guest Hayden Paddon, who now leads the New Zealand Rally Championship after his second place in the Rally of Whangarei.

Hayden is a fantastic talent, both in the car and out of it, and he
talks to us about his hopes and plans for the future, both in New Zealand and overseas.

‘The Week That Was’ continues with NASCAR and Formula 1. It is fair to say that both Lewis Hamilton and Max Mosley come in for a bit of a pasting from the boys!

Part three, supported by VW Commercial Vehicles, starts with a look at the V8 Supercars from Sandown and the stunning performance from young Kiwi star Shane Van Gisbergen.

Our own Shane gets out the red flag over some of the decisions by driving standards director Tomas Mezera, before we move on to the sport of Thundercat racing, which if you don’t know involves surf, sand, sun, and it seems lot’s of girls…

Top Thundercat racer Tony Vercauteren joins us for a chat and trust me there is a piece of video that is well worth a watch.

Part four, also supported by VW Commercial Vehicles opens up with our penultimate Ultimate workshop competition addition, and the prize pool is swelled by a $600 Optima heavy duty battery. The value of the prizes is now over $16,000 and one person is going to win the lot at the end of the current series!

Our final guest is Bill Ward. Bill is a man that has ‘Been There and Done That’. He was the first Kiwi to race at Bonneville on four wheels, and also has played guitar with the the likes of the Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, and many, many famous others. On top of all of that, he even makes his own home brew.

Bill is truly one of life’s characters, and is fantastic to talk to, especially about Bonneville. You can literally see the passion in the man!

The show wraps up as usual with Matts Marley Moment, which this week just has to be Lewis Hamilton and his “big boo boo” in Canada.

That’s it for this week.

So, drive hard, and be safe, and keep the shiny side up!

See you next week.

Thanks for watching and supporting Karcher Pitlane.

Ian and the crew.
